Overview
The esteemed Iraqi artist, Aqeel Abbas Al-Ousi, presented a solo exhibition titled 'Nocturnal Rhythms' at Naila Gallery in Riyadh, where he invited us to explore a distinctive facet of his extensive artistic journey. Al-Ousi's artistic odyssey, which began at the Institute of Fine Arts in Baghdad and continued with a postgraduate degree in Paris, had found a home in Riyadh. The exhibition stood as a testament to the artist's versatility as he seamlessly navigated through various artistic styles, from realism to calligraphy, abstraction, and more. 'Nocturnal Rhythms' mesmerized the audience with its abstraction, where Al-Ousi's unique visual language orchestrated a dance of warm and cool colors, with lines that rippled like the notes of a tranquil melody, guiding the viewer through its intricacies and captivating the eye with its poetic vocabulary.
